MarquisNet Las Vegas, is a state-of-the-art 28,000 square foot data center that incorporates critical infrastructure architecture to eliminate all single points of failures. The Data Center utilizes the most advanced design features to achieve unparalleled reliability, maintainability and system flexibility.
The basis of the state-of-the-art fault tolerant system, is a dual feed, dual path topology, using multiple independent Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) systems, Generators, Air Conditioning Units, and Power Distribution Units (PDU’s).
To achieve this level of reliability the following measures were implemented.
Utility Service
The Las Vegas center has dual power feeds from the substation that also feeds part of the McCarran International Airport. This unique location ensures that our power availability is amongst the highest in the city.
Main Electrical Distribution System
The facility is equipped with two main electrical distribution buses. Each bus is supported by the utility supply and by an independent generator system. Any one bus is redundant.
UPS Systems
A total of Five (5) 500 kVA UPS modules are installed in an N+1 model. Each UPS module is equipped with batteries that with a fully occupied data center provide at least 15 minutes of power, an internal static bypass and an external maintenance bypass.
The condition of the batteries is continuously observed using a state-of-the-art battery monitoring system.
Standby Generator Systems
One (1) 2500 kVA Generator. Each generator is equipped with a self-contained integral diesel fuel tank sized to support the full load for 24 hours. A second 2500 kW diesel generator set can be added that will activate if the primary generator set fails.
Grounding System
Comprehensive grounding system, including a Zero Signal Reference Grid (ZSRG), and full building loop ground. A lightning protection system that has been designed to minimize the effect of a direct lightning strike and primary bus switching system is protected by TVSS (Transition Voltage Suppression System) in the event of abnormal power surges.

Fire Detection and Suppression
State-of-the-art fire and smoke detection and suppression systems. Very Early Smoke Detection and Alarm (VESDA). Double interlock pre-action fire sprinkler system.
